Our History

ReachMaster, Inc. was established by Ebbe Christensen in 2001 as the US division of E. Falck Schmidt AS in Denmark, - the company that invented the entire compact lift industry in 1977 when they designed and built the world’s first compact lift that could go through a single door. As a manufacturer of lift equipment since 1933, the company applied innovative technology combined with very high demands and standards for safety.

In 2005 the company merged with another Danish manufacturer of compact lift, Denka Lift and for the next 5 years ReachMaster was the sole provider of the Denka and also the Italian Hinowa compact track-based lifts in North America.

2010 was a year with several changes. JLG took over the representation of Hinowa in North America under their own brand, which in return allowed ReachMaster to start representing the most advanced line of tracked based compact aerial lifts from Bluelift in Italy.

In 2012 Ebbe Christensen performed a Management Buy Out of ReachMaster, Inc. in North America and took over all assets and activities and today is the sole owner of the company.

In 2013 we completed a growth strategy by diversifying the product lines while optimizing our competences within the industry as provider of highly advanced equipment and safe and efficient solutions. The new life as an independent company has allowed us to pick only the very best brands in the world, and build a product portfolio unmatched by anyone in the market.

Today, ReachMaster is the leading provider of compact, aerial lifts, representing a work height range with more single door access and power choices than anyone in the world, higher work height than anyone in the world, and most importantly the best safety record in the industry. Both ReachMaster and all our aerial lift manufacturers are active members of IPAF, and adhere to the highest local and international standards. The current range of products include: Bluelift from Italy and Denka and PB Lifttechnik, both from Germany.

As a natural evolution of our compact aerial lift competences ReachMaster has branched into compact material handling with a complete portfolio from automatic glass installation machines from Winlet in Denmark, pick and carry cranes from Galizia in Italy and the Mighty Crane from Japan.
